Description
Huge 1927 museum quality Vally Wieselthier Wiener Werkstätte ceramic figure of a draped semi-nude kneeling woman. Signed with the incised Vally Wieselthier Wiener Werkstätte monogram. Exquisitely hand decorated and in beautiful condition. Vally Wieselthier joined the ceramics workshop of the Wiener Werkstätte in 1917 and in 1927 she became head of the department. Her ceramic sculptures were represented at the 1925 “Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes” in Paris.
