Les 2 Potiers, a renowned French ceramic atelier, flourished under the creative partnership of Michelle Bargoin-Serre (1936) and Jacques Serre (1934-2016) from 1956 to 1970. Their collaborative journey began at the School of Fine Arts in Clermont Ferrand, culminating in the establishment of their workshop nestled in the picturesque Château de Chazeron.
Diverging from the vibrant palettes prevalent among their peers, Les 2 Potiers distinguished themselves with a preference for understated hues in crafting exquisite vases, bowls, tables, and assorted objets d'art. Following their amicable parting in 1970, Jacques and Michelle (formerly known as Michelle) continued their individual artistic pursuits. Jacques delved into the intricate world of enameled lava, while Michelle delved into sculptural endeavors, each leaving an indelible mark on the ceramic landscape.
