Description
Oil on canvas painting by Edna Palmer Engelhardt. Signed lower right and titled verso on stretcher. Circa 1965. Condition: Excellent. Overall framed 29.25 by 40.75. Inches
Engelhardt taught art in New York, Philadelphia, Montclair, N.J., White Plains and Bronxville, N.Y., Buck Hill Falls, Pocono Manor, Skytop, and Pinehurst, N.C.
Her paintings were used commercially for the Book of the Month Club, New York Life Insurance Co., and Kipe Offset Co., N.Y.
Morris-Bendine of New York reproduced four of her paintings to sell as prints, and the U.S. flagship "Pocono" acquired one of her paintings to hang in its main lounge.
Engelhardt was a member of the Pocono Mountain Art Group, the Grand Central Art Gallery of New York City, and the Buck Hill Art Association, Monroe County. -
