Description
Trained as a basket maker in Germany during the 1980s, Klaus Titze combines technology and artisanal tradition with his concrete basket forms. Organically shaped wicker forms are made using a special twisting technique and brushed with fiber mortar. The process of combining the opposites: soft willow and hard mortar is manifested in the array of stunning works using willow, clay, stone, iron and concrete in the various forms of baskets, walls and pillars.
