    Classical clean lines and the beautiful walnut patina of this exceptional 18th C Louis XVI Secretary allow this versatile statement piece to transcend all eras of decorative style. The black marble top provides additional aesthetic interest, This rare and exceptional piece offers a unique and cleverly featured pullout drawer with a leather writing surface and organizational drawers for writing supplies. The decorative trims, Louis XVI drawer pulls and escutcheons are all original along with the operational locks and key.
    This functionality and beauty of this 18th C piece is the 21st C solution to smaller living spaces without sacrificing style and glamour!

    Condition: Typical for 18th C chest. Marble in very good condition with no evidence of breaks or cracks. Beautiful walnut patina. Leather of desk surface shows wear as would be expected. Hardware all original, includes decorative handles as well as locks with keys in operative condition. Frame and drawers are sturdy and represent a piece that has been well cared for.
