Description
A fine and rare occasional table in the manner of Frederick Hintz, one of two cabinetmakers known to have used brass and mother of pearl inlay in their furniture. The base on this table, and on many Hintz/Channon tables, is possibly a replacement although it is contemporaneous with the table.

Period: 18th Century Materials: wood, brass, mother of pearl Condition: Excellent. Creation Date: 1750 Styles / Movements: Traditional, George II Book References: "John Channon and Brass-Inlaid Furniture", published in 1993 by Christopher Gilbert and Tessa Murdoch. This book references Hintz, who worked in London at the same time as Channon, the best known purveyor of this particular form. Incollect Reference #: 272769 -
