FRENCH 19TH CENTURY MAHOGANY RAFRAÎCHISSOIR
-
Description
A most impressive two-tier mahogany rafraîchissoir from 19th century France. This fun little table has a gray and white marble top that is trimmed in moulded mahogany. Two wells provide places to keep your chilled champagne and/or mixers for an instant party. The apron has a small drawer that can store corkscrews, aerators, church keys, and other vinous accessories. Below, two undertier shelves are perfect for storing additional bottles, glasses or flutes. The shelves are spaced by wonderfully turned mahogany column-form uprights. The feet are turned and tapered with brass sabots. When not in party-mode, this delightful entertaining antique makes a great side or end table, and is guaranteed to start a conversation!
