A George II Irish Mahogany Small Console Table

Description
The original white and grained Carrera marble (with well defined age shadows to the underneath) inset in a well carved solid mahogany base.
The surround to the marble with acanthus leaf decoration above a shaped surround with rod and ball decoration to the base of the rail over four cabriole legs topped with leaf carving above bellflower decoration to the knees terminating in lightly fluted pad feet. The rear rail is unfinished as expected and the rear feet are cut (as originally designed and crafted) to fit flat to a wall.
A very nice piece with a deep and rich color in original undisturbed condition. -
