Bernie Fuchs is one of America's greatest illustrators. He captures the essence of a beautiful and glamorous beach girl done is a loose mid-century style. Notice how he describes the adjacent figures with just a few strokes to bring out their essence. Signed lower right.
Fuchs was contributed to all the main magazines of his day including McCalls, Redbook, The Ladies Home Journal, Sports Illustrated. He painted portraits of several U.S. Presidents, including John F. Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan, as well as of such athletes and celebrities such as Muhammad Ali, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Ted Koppel and Katharine Hepburn.
