Description
Very elegant, strict and original neoclassical early Biedermeier Armoire from South Germany, circa 1815-1820.
Wonderful book-matched walnut veneer on softwood, hand-polished with shellac (French polish). Two doors and one-drawer above. The veneer is very beautifully running thought the whole front and bottom part.
Ebonized half-columns with newly gold-plated Corinthian capitals and bases. Horn inlays around the key holes. Elegant conical square tapered ebonized legs. Original iron lock and old key. Inside shelves with 3 plates covered in black cotton fabric.
Fully restored condition. -
