Beautiful, original silk in pink red still covers the headboard of this gorgeous 1950’s double bed, though it exhibits some signs of wear. It was created by famed French designer Suzanne Guiguichon in her signature art deco and modernist style, which often impressed her contemporaries with its ahead-of-its-time modernity. With the plush, romantic headboard—in a pretty scallop shape—and the caramel sycamore maple frame, this piece feels straight out of a storybook, imparting a sense of femininity and cosiness to a modern bedroom.
