Description
An elegant circa 1760 English George II / George III period 'estate-made' Chippendale 'slab' or side table of clean design having original gray and white Bardiglio marble top on mahogany base with flat frieze on thick cusp-bracketed triangular legs.
NOTE: An exact table, and likely it's mate, is in the collection of renowned English antiquarian, collector, dealer, and designer Baron Piers von Westenholz and is pictured on page 152 in "The World of Interiors - Gilt-Edged Collection, Vol. I", edited by Min Hogg with Wendy Harrop and Margaret Donegan, The World of Interiors, Pharos Publications, London, 1986. -
