Branco and Preto, established in 1952, stands as a pioneering furniture company founded by visionary architects Miguel Forte, Jacob Ruchti, Plinio Groce, Roberta Aflalo, Carlos Millan, and Che Y Hwa. Graduating from The Mackenzie School of Engineering in the 1940s, these architects found themselves in need of furniture that complemented their modern architectural styles. United by their shared vision, they embraced Roberto Aflalo's proposal to launch a store specializing in modern design furniture.

Together, they have crafted some of the most influential pieces of Brazilian furniture, seamlessly integrating their designs with architectural concepts. Each piece reflects meticulous craftsmanship using the finest Brazilian native woods and materials, embodying a commitment to both functionality and aesthetic excellence.
