            Description

          England - UK c. 1815
Fine and rare pair of English Regency Period Rosewood Klismos Library Chairs of outstanding quality and design which certainly suggests the work of the eminent George Oakley. The naturally patinated timber being contrasted with the addition of super gilt metal mounts to the backs - frieze and to the tops of the well drawn sabre legs.
A beautiful pair of unusual chairs - while being of highly decorative value would certainly enhance any serious collection.
