United Kingdom c. 1775.
A Fine and Important Hepplewhite period serpentine mahogany commode / chest with a slight French influence of particular quality and choice of dramatic timbers suggesting a master maker. Unusually having two deep more useful drawers giving an elegant drawing room appearance with original gilt bronze handles and rarely seen carrying handles to the sides. " Wonderful collectors item".
