Description
An Oak Two Door Folio Cabinet With Carved Kentian Detailing Probably Made For Stanwick Park, Seat Of Sir Hugh Smithson, Later 1st Duke Of Northumberland
The rectangular top above an acanthine molding with Greek key frieze flanked at each end by foliate swags. The two doors each framed with egg and dart molding and a carved rosette at each corner and circle of ribbon molding with a carved whirl motif at the center. The sides of conforming design. The whole raised on a plinth base. Minor repairs to carving. -
