Maison Jansen Monumental Concave steel and bronze console / sideboard table. This stunning one of a kind concave on one side and demilune if you turn it around case is comprised of all steel and bronze elements. The finely cast sabots leading to a set of eight reeded lower and spiked ebony upper solid steel legs terminating in bronze capitals. The apron having matching bronze circular and column decorations on a steel ebony background. The whole supporting a mirrored top. Certainly made for someone of note and wealth. This item was one of a pair from a Palm Beach Mansion. A whopping ten and a quarter feet long.
This piece is accompanied by a letter of Authentication from James Archer Abbott, Author of 'Designing Camelot: The Kennedy White House Restoration' as well as both Jansen Furniture Books. -
