A George II Parcel-Gilt Scarlet-Japanned Bureau Cabinet
With broken swan’s neck pediment above a pair of beveled mirrored doors enclosing a fitted interior above a fall front opening to a conforming fitted interior, with two short and two long graduated drawers below, on bracket feet. Decorated throughout with chinoiserie pagoda landscapes, figures, birds and animals. The mirrored plates, bracket feet and drawer pulls and escutcheons are of a later date. -
