Description
Charming "Sno-Shu" lounge chair designed by the architect Carl Koch for Vermont Tubbs, a revered maker of snow shoes since 1840. Koch is most famous for designing Techbuilt prefabricated housing. This is an early example of this model, probably c.1950. It has wonderful Art Deco lines, the patina of age, and is remarkably solid and comfortable. Please note: this item is currently stored off-site and can be viewed at the NYDC Gallery by request.
