Description
Jan & Joel Martel Art Deco cubist “Woman with Cello” in Terra-cotta in black patina. Signed J. J. Martel on the front and also has the foundry stamp Suess Freres Paris on the back. Like many of the Martel sculptures, this also has the theme of music which was a big part of their creative expression. Period of 1920-1929, this vintage sculpture is in its original condition. It has never been restored. It has a substantial feel and quality.
