Description
Finely carved set of chairs. Nicely carved shell ears and ornately carved splat. Shell on center rail with high knee return carving. Acanthus legs terminating in claw and ball feet. Descended in the James Henderson family of New York and also the James Monroe family. Philadelphia, PA. Circa 1745-65.
