Ten American Centennial Mahogany Dining Chairs
-
Description
A set of ten mahogany Chippendale manner ball and claw-footed dining chairs; including eight 'sides' and two armchairs. The backsplats are unusually refined, with an ornate hand-carved appearance. The white slip seats appear to be recent and relatively unused. The armchairs are only slightly larger than the sides: 39 1/2" high x 22 1/2" wide x 19" seat height x 22" overall depth. This is a composed set of ten identical chairs, from the same maker. Sets of six and four were found in different locales: the Deep South and Litchfield County (CT).
