This elegant Mid-Century Modern lounge chair was realized in Italy, circa 1950. It features splayed conical legs in ebonized walnut capped with beautiful brass sabots; rounded tear drop form arms- a formal motif that recurs in the convex detailing that decorates the back; and piping running along the exterior edges. The chair has been newly reupholstered in a smoked silver-lavender velvet that offers a subtle and understated sheen. With its clean modernist lines and beautiful attention to detail, this piece embodies what discerning collectors of first-rate Italian Mid-Century Modern pieces absolutely adore. It would be a winning addition to any style of interior from Classic midcentury to contemporary. It has been newly restored to mint condition.
