Description
An impressive piece and probably used with a partners desk this piece exudes quality. The gilt bronze mounts with rams head and lions masks on flanked bodies are probably influenced by Thomas Hope’s Household Furniture and the quality indicates a maker of the stature of Benjamin Lewis Vulliamy 1780-1854, who produced clocks with similar ornamentation.
English, Regency Period, c. 1810 -
