Description
This pair of Austrian Secessionist armchairs was designed by the architect and furniture designer, Wilhelm Schmidt, who studied with Joseph Hoffmann at the Wiener Kunstgewerbe. These rectilinear chairs, made of stained oak with rattan seats, sides and backs, were part of a series of armchairs designed in 1901-1902 by Schmidt for Prag-Rudniker Korbware Fabrik in Vienna.
