A classically styled English oak side table, with barley twist legs, from the later part of the 19th century. The square table features four legs, pushed to the corners and turned in a barley twist design. This classic twisted leg is seen often in antiquity, given its widespread appeal and popularity throughout the Old World. This wonderful example is no exception and utilizes these antique spiraled stilts to lift the table to a height of 28”. The legs are braced by a stretcher and terminate in wonderfully turned feet.
