Description
Rare and Important Pair of French Mid-Century Hand-Forged Iron Armchairs by Galerie Maison et Jardin, Paris.
These sober, yet dramatic chairs rival the master works of Alberto and Diego Giacometti, Gilbert Poillerat, Andre Arbus with their stunning lines and form. The pieces are hand forged with ironwork that is subtle and delicate featuring an X form design united by a gilt iron ring on each side, hand hammered and tapered arms and Etruscan style detailing throughout. Brilliant examples of modern neoclassical design. -
