Description
The famous model "S chair", an iconic and unique design by Marzio Cecchi for Studio Most in Italy, circa early 1970s. Made of wicker rope, the graceful and sculptural "S" form is supported by a circular base. This organic material and beautiful design takes its place in any room as its own work of art. Very comfortable, these chairs display superior functionality, great inventiveness, creativity and are beautifully distinguished by high quality craftsmanship. A very rare set of four; all original.

Size: 50" back height x 19" seat height x 18" wide x 24" base diameter
Marzio Cecchi was born near Florence in 1940 and graduated from the University of Florence with a degree in Architecture. He was an eclectic and visionary Architect, Designer and Artist. His designs exhibited great creativity in use of materials and innate good taste. Cecchi decorated Italian houses and villas protected by the Italian Fine Arts Department. His works have received prestigious awards. He died at the early age of 50 in an accident in New York City leaving timeless designs and one of a kind pieces highly collectible on the market. Several of his pieces have been acquired by the most important museums in the world. -
