Rare Pair of Regency Rosewood Klismos Library Chairs
English, circa 1820
Fine and rare pair of English Regency Period Rosewood Klismos Library/Desk Chairs of outstanding quality and design which certainly suggests the work of the eminent George Oakley. The naturally patinated timber being contrasted with the addition of super gilt metal mounts to the backs — frieze and to the tops of the well drawn sabre legs. In excellent condition having superb chosen timbers and a glorious natural patina . Would grace any serious collecttion . -
