Pair of etched glass and silver pitchers by Bruckmann & Sohne

The pitchers, or claret jugs, in this pair by Bruckmann & S?hne are of traditional form, each crafted from silver mounted glass. Each pitcher features a pear-shaped glass body, the surface of which is incised with sweeping flutes and finely etched with floral designs. The neck of each pitcher is mounted with fine Rococo style silver, and each is topped with a hinged cover and an ornate scrolled handle. The silver throughout is embossed with scrolling forms typical of the Rococo style.
One pitcher is marked to the inner rim of the cover for the maker, Bruckmann & Sohne.
