Baker Asian Chinoiserie Mahogany Dining Chairs Set of Six, circa 1950
-
Description
Attributed to designer Michael Taylor, these Baker Asian inspired chinoiserie dining chairs are in excellent condition having been professionally refinished in a dark satin stain to allow for appreciation of the beautiful mahogany grain. The armchairs are stately. Gilded Asian chinoiserie back and arm rest details add an air of sophisticated elegance. A luxuriously wide and comfortable Billy Haines style biscuit tufted seat cushion, freshly reupholstered in raw golden silk is almost too beautiful to sit on, but you will. And you'll love them.
