ARCHED CREST SERPENTINE FRONT SOFA
This sofa has all of the drama of high style New York furniture in the Chippendale period: a high, arched crest and outward scrolling and down-swept arms and a deep serpentine front. The tapered legs and spade feet are a nod to the advent of the neoclassical style. The sofa represents a small group that combine Chippendale elements with later transitional legs and feet. The sofa is ready to reupholster in muslin under-upholstery with goose down seat cushion. -
