GOTHIC HEXAGON CENTER TABLE ENGLISH CIRCA 1780

Price Upon Request
  • Description
A very rare example of an English Eighteenth Century hexagon center table a la Walpoles Strawberry Hill House. This table is so far unknown and more suprisingly, unrecorded.

No doubt a complete one off and a very special private commisssion. One might even suspect a prototype as all the six finely executed angle designs are of a different and complicated pattern . Still with most of the original white painted decoration upon a construction of oak, no doubt intended for use in a conservatory. Note :- Later but correct Carrara Marble Top.
