A lovely sterling silver caddy or table top box made in Taxco Mexico by William Spratling circa 1944-1946. The box features a cube form with rounded corner with three stylized matching bands in the midbody where the lid close. The top knob has a ball and ribbon design that is a recurrent motif in Spratling's design repertoire. Marks to the base: SPRATLING, MADE IN MEXICO, WS, STERLING. It weight about 17.5 troy ounces
