Description
Hand-blown blue glass vase with silver foil from the Reazione Policrome Series, Balloton, by Giulio Radi for Arte Vetraria Muranese or A.V.E.M., Murano Italy, ca 1950. This vase is a like a jewel.
Reference:
AVEM Artistic Production 1932-1972 by Marc Heiremans published by Arnoldsche in 2020, pages 52 thru 54 show similar pieces by Radi with the same technique.
Provenance:
Evan Lobel purchased this pieces directly from A.V.E.M. in 2001 as part of a large collection of pieces stored there from the 1940’s, 50’s and 60’s. -
