Atelier PERZEL, pair of modernist sconces

$ 11,149
  • Description
    Jean Perzel (1892-1984) was a renowned French lighting designer born in Bavaria. After training as a stained glass artist in Munich, he moved to Paris, gaining fame for his elegant glass and bronze luminaires. Establishing his workshop in 1923, he became a key figure in the Art Deco movement, creating designs for prestigious clients like the Belgian royal court and Henry Ford. His atelier is known for its commitment to craftsmanship, producing pieces like a pivoting lamp for students and glass slabs embedded with light. The family legacy continues today under Olivier Raidt, Perzel's great-nephew, who maintains the tradition of exceptional craftsmanship recognized with the "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" label.
