    A PARTICULAR FINE EXAMPLE OF AN ENGLISH EIGHTEENTH CENTURY CUBAN MAHOGANY SERPENTINE CHEST - COMMODE OF DRAWERS VERY MUCH IN THE STYLE AND PERIOD OF THOMAS CHIPPENDALE SENIOR. WITH A MOST INDIVIDUAL EXAGERATED SHAPING TO THE CORNERS OF THE TOP WITH THE ORIGINAL BRUSHING SLIDE TO THE TOP DRAWER. MOST IMPORTANTLY RETAINING THE ORIGINAL LAQUERED GILT BRONZE HANDLES. THIS PIECE HAS THE ADDED ADVANTAGE OF BEING IN WHAT THE TRADE CALL "UNTOUCHED CONDITION". NOT BEING RE-POLISHED AND HAVING THE MOST GLORIOUS PATINA IS WHAT PERIOD ENGLISH FURNITURE IS ALL ABOUT. SUITABLE FOR THE EARNEST COLLECTOR THIS IS A PRIZED PIECE FOR THE CONNOISEUR.
