“Pipistrello” Table Lamp by Gae Aulenti for Martinelli Luce

Large Pipistrello table lamp designed in 1966 by Gae Aulenti for Martinelli Luce that has a lacquered metal base bordered by polished metal, a telescoping stem in stainless steel, and an opaque white shade in methacrylate that is fitted by a white lacquered metal finial. The height is adjustable via the stem that securely slides up and down. The lamp has been rewired for the US, has an on/off switch at the cord, and a new shade from Martinelli Luce. Labeled at the housing near the four candelabra sockets.
