French 19th C. Marble Top Pastry Table
-
Description
Crema Italian marble is recessed into the top of this oak table, totally framed with a protective silver metal edge. The legs taper to matching "shoes". The broad stretcher supports a marble shelf below. One drawer sports a hand forged pull. The cool marble surface was ideal for butter based puff pastry dough not to adhere. Great patina and a charming history. Rare to find such a lovely example.
