Description
18th century Italian Rococo period painted commode, the serpentine-fronted top with eared corners, fitted with three graduated drawers, the top and sides are decorated with large gilded cartouche shapes enclosing vases and baskets filled with floral bouquets on a green background with gilded floral patterns. The drawers are also decorated with smaller cartouches encircling roses. The apron, scalloped on three sides, is raised on cabriole legs. There are no handles. The drawers open by using the keys, which are old but do not work. The locks are original.
