This beautiful palm tree floor lamp is one of the most iconic pieces by French designer Christian Techoueyres for Maison Jansen. It’s made largely from bright brass, which gives it an air of high-end glamour. But what makes the Jansen palm tree pieces most extraordinary is the level of detail that went into every aspect, individual pieces of brass have been shaped around the trunk to look and feel like the coastal tree’s bark, as well as the leaves. Mounted on a large black lacquered pedestal. There are four light fixtures above and under the palm, hanging just below the leaves, so that from a distance it’s unclear where the warm light is coming from as it’s reflected across the room. Fully restored, and found in a very good vintage condition, this piece will instantly transform a space with its lively parisian 1970’s flair.
