Ca. late 19th century French oak storage box with hand-painted 'clown' decoration to the top and a floral motif to the bottom component. Attractive color combinations - base coat is ochre with red, yellow, and coral, green, black and pink details. Good age / patina with minor paint loss and scuffs, as shown. Overall, very good condition considering age and use.
