Mahogany Adjustable Gout Footstool

Description
19th Century mahogany adjustable footstool, the hinged foot rest raises in height by six increments of 1.5″ each to a total height of 10″. The frame is mounted on turned legs ending in brass and porcelain casters. It is upholstered in a print fabric with a maroon background. These stools were originally used for people with gout. Since you can raise the height of the foot rest, it is extremely comfortable.
