A vintage Persian Malayer runner. On a gun metal field, the palmettes of the Herati pattern along the central axis are strong, while the ’fish’ leaves are small and secondary. The centrality of the design is immediately clear. Rosettes and twigs adorn the narrow main border of this village kenare from western Persia.
