Description
In 2014 Marc was commissioned by Swarovski Australia to design and fabricate a large scale installation as a focal point for their head office.
Inspired by the Northern lights, he devised slow moving animated lights placed within the sculpture which he programmed into a looped sequence by bouncing these beams which reflected off holographic materials for effect. This cast an internal coloured glow onto a diffused acrylic disc which slowly changed the merging colours bringing the piece to life.
This in turn created a hypnotic and mesmerizing resting place for the eyes simulating natural light as it refracts through frozen crystals like the Aurora Borealis does in reality throughout a darkened sky.
