Description
'Figura Humana 1948' Rug by Eduardo Chillida for Nanimarquina.
Born in 1924, Eduardo Chillida was a celebrated and prolific Spanish sculptor. He began his life work in Paris, but it was not until he moved back to Spain that he began experimenting with iron, crafting monumental abstract sculptures. His iconic work has been featured in countless exhibitions and is still on display in over 20 museums across the world today.
Nanimarquina has faithfully translated Chillida’s artistic nuances into rugs, all handmade using various techniques and fibres, such as wool, silk, and hand-spun mohair, to create different textures, showcasing the essence of his work.
