Description
FLEMING, IAN.
Diamonds are Forever.
Stock Code 99880
London, Jonathan Cape, 1956
£10,000
A fine first edition of Ian Fleming's fourth James Bond book, with a leaf signed by the author inserted replacing the front free endpaper. 007 infiltrates the world of diamond smugglers; the 1971 film featured Sean Connery in his penultimate outing in the series and Jill St. John as Bond Girl, Tiffany Case.
First edition, first impression, signed by the author on skilfully inserted endpaper leaf; 8vo; publisher's boards (binding 'B'), dust-jacket by Pat Marriott, a few small stabilising repairs near head of spine and fore-corners, overall a very good example.
