Victor Burgin painting abstract color field red green blue signed. Acrylic on canvas. A student work by Burgin, who became well known as a photographer and a conceptual artist. Signed V. Burgin RCA. Burgin, B. 1941, executed the work at the Royal College of Art in London, England where he received his A.R.C.A (1st Class) from The Royal College of Art in 1965. He received his M.F.A. from Yale University in 1967.
The painting is being sold in as found condition: un-restored. The colors are still vibrant but the surrounding non painted canvas is soiled and has one area of discoloration in the upper right section. Mr. Burgin has seen images of the work and has authenticated it via his dealer. - More Information
