Eero Saarinen for Knoll Stool, Swivel, Blue, White Signed. According to Steven and Linda Rouland's 1999 book: "Knoll Furniture, 1938-1960", the tulip stool was originally called the pedestal stool (152 S) and was described as "foam rubber upholstered cushion on Aluminum base with fused plastic finish". Retains 320 Park Avenue label on the underside of the seat in addition to being stamped "BR 51" on underside of the base. The seat cushion is upholstered in Knoll blue hopsack fabric.
