Ruth Jacoby collage stripes signed. Ruth Jacoby New York visual poet: 1903-1993. Collage on cardstock with handcut stencilled letters. Signed R. Jacoby 1970 lower right edge. Newly reframed with UV plexiglass and black matte wood molding. Image size 20.75 W x 28.75 H. Retains original typed placard with the price $425 and following description of the collage: "This is a pure word-image or wordscape, where the form itself gives meaning to the word. The word itself becomes the plastic entity where one can know things by sight".
